Stracciatella Cake – Recipe

Very simple, but delicious cake base of egg whites with nuts and cream filling and chocolate

For the dough you will need:

6 egg whites,

7 oz (200 grams) of sugar,

3 tablespoons flour,

7 oz (200 grams) of nuts

pinch baking powder.

For the cream you will need:

17 oz (500 ml) cream,

6 egg yolks,

3.5 oz (100 grams) of  powdered sugar,

7 oz (200 grams) of chocolate.

In addition:

2 oz (50 grams) of chocolate for decoration.

Step 1: Egg whites should be at room temperature. Nice beat egg whites with sugar. Add the walnuts, flour, baking powder and mix easily merge.

Step 2: Pour the mixture into the baking pan and bake at  365ºF (185ºC) about 25 minutes, check with a toothpick. Allow to cool well.

Step 3: The chocolate must be grated. In a mixing bowl beat yolk eggs with sugar very nice. With mixer, beat together sweet cream and yolks egg previously beat and make union. Add the grated chocolate and nicely match with simple movements.

Step 4: The cooled pastry brush the filling and sprinkle with grated chocolate. Allow to cool before serving, preferably overnight.

ADVISE: This cake is great for all the times when you wait more visitors because prepare is simple, but very tasty.
