Mystic Iranian Cookies!
Searching for recipes with chickpeas, I came across some traditional Iranian cookies that have inspired me to combine these cookies … If I only could bring you a wonderful aroma that spread everywhere when I was preparing the dough … And taste is, at least for me, something completely new and mystical ..
5.2 oz (150 g) roasted chickpeas,
3.5 oz (100 g) butter or margarine,
1.4 oz (40 grams) of powdered sugar,
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon,
10 flat tablespoons flour,
3.3 oz (100 ml) milk
Coarsely grind the beans to remain small chunks. Mix the sugar and cinnamon, and rub the softened butter, the mixture to become grainy. Then add flour, stir well, add milk and prepare the dough. The mixture should be nice linked not to fall in pieces, and if necessary add little milk. Stretch the dough with rolling pin to make a crust with 7-8mm thickness and cut the cake as desired. Arrange them in a baking pan lined with parchment paper. Feel free to arrange them closer because they do not rise while baked. Bake in a preheated oven at 392 ºF (200 ºC) for about 20 minutes. Instead specified amount of sugar you can put 1 tablespoon of honey, more or less, depending on your taste. With this amount, the cookies are moderately sweet
