Barley with Nectarines and Cherry Jam
My desire for something sweet at lunchtime, came up with this combination. In the fridge I had prepared barley (no spices) and I had a nectarine and homemade cherry jam. So I did this unusual combination!
Prepare barley. The rule is that it must be soaked some time before cooking – I leave overnight. Cook about 45min – 1 hour over medium heat and then leave to rest. The water in which you cooked the barley becomes mucous and, like this, it is always nice to link the ingredients by adding barley! In this case I was prepared more than necessary so I put the rest in the refrigerator and
I used next day. Depending on the will and desire, can be eaten hot or cold. I ate cold, so I just take 4-5 tablespoon of barley. Add one to two tablespoons of sour cherry jam on a plate and add one diced chopped nectarine (fruit you add, can be something else, but I had nectarines at home and worked it interesting)
